It's delightful, it's delicious, it's dlevy!

I think this is the final CD I bought in Europe that I haven’t written about on the blog yet. Stairway to the Stars was a benefit concert in 1989 held to raise money for Action Research for the Crippled Child. (The British sure do have a way with naming charities, don’t they?) It mostly featured old MGM stars recreating their big moments from the movies, but Lorna “Judy’s Other Daughter” Luft did this charming medley of famous movie songs that were “Not Even Nominated” that was originally performed by Sammy Davis, Jr. and Steve Lawrence on the 1979 Academy Awards.

The audio is too large for a Tumblr post, but Lorna recreated the number in one of her own concerts, captured on video and posted on YouTube.
