I’m sorry but has Murray reviewed anything positively lately? It seems like he’s on a streak of hating everything in his reviews. I haven’t read this yet (I agree that Smash is disappointing) but he was even negative on Starcatcher.
Ann (the TB Webmaster) ran the numbers on Matthew’s reviews and they make a pretty decent bell curve - with more than fifty percent B- or higher.
I haven’t seen Peter and the Starcatchers yet, but I thought his criticisms were specific and valid. The things that bothered him might not bother other theatergoers, but that doesn’t make his calling them out less valid.

I really wasn’t trying to bad mouth him. I’ve just heard that he’s rated a lot of things negatively recently and had a reputation for being a stick in the mud. I saw Starcatcher and all of his criticisms seemed so off base compared with what I saw.
