Probably my favorite Evita and Cast Album of the show!

I just love the ways she plays Eva and her acting choices truly bring the character out. The orchestrations are also superb! I listen to this about 15 times a day, and drive to school listening to it. I’m so cool…….

LOVE the way Lacey pronounces ‘Aires’ ‘Eye-reeeze”
The last “star quality”. KILLS.
I want a venn diagram with “Amazing Eva Perons” on one side, ”Amazing Irene Malloys” on the other side, and “Florence Lacey” in the middle.
I love Lacey, but the draggy tempo and (with all due respect to the OP) totally 80s orchestration keep the track from greatness.
In related news, Karaoke Cave on 13th St. between 5th and University has this song in their catalog, only with the full Broadway version including the pause for Mandy Patinkin’s monologue.
