Entire Company,
You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Original live cast recording)

You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown has been recorded many times, first as a concept album with Orson Bean. The second recording was a live cast recording of the original off-Broadway production, from which this track comes. The story goes that the cast was dissatisfied with the product, and somehow they managed to complain loudly enough that the label recalled the disc and brought the cast into the studio to record the album we’re more familiar with today.

The sound quality isn’t great on the live version, and there are a few clunker notes, but it’s incredibly charming, as evidenced by this number. The audience reaction (and the sounds of Snoopy barking along) just make it.
