It's delightful, it's delicious, it's dlevy!

Those of you who follow me on Twitter may have caught a glimpse of my frustration this weekend when confronted by some conservative relatives, including my uncle who seems to have lost his mind and become a racist birther.

I mostly held my cool with them and said things like “I won’t take you seriously if you rant about birth certificates or college transcripts. If you want to talk about issues, I will listen to what you have to say.”

But what I really should have said is “the bottom line is that I have more rights today than I did four years ago. One candidate sees me as a human being and a full citizen entitled to the same rights you enjoy. The other candidate sees me as less than that: less than a full citizen, less than human. No economic policy, no foreign policy, no approach to health care, gun control, or any other issue is going to trump being seen as a full human being by only one candidate.”
