…but Kevin Clash is not the “voice actor” behind Elmo. He’s the performer (or puppeteer) behind Elmo. He is not only responsible for Elmo’s voice, but also his movement, and when he performs, he performs both simultaneously. It’s a different art.
I have other thoughts too (particularly about his bullshit “I’ve been out of the closet for years!” statement) but I’m sleepy.
