“Marquette Avenue”

Lyrics by Lane Williamson, Music by Sarah Taylor Ellis

Playlist of Ellis and Williamson songs available on SoundCloud

I’ve lost track of whether or not I’ve reblogged all of their songs, but I’m pretty sure I missed this one, which is a crime, because it’s really really really good.

The Tempest

Live performance at the Rhymes with Opera Salon, October 21, 2012

Lyrics by Lane Williamson, Music by Sarah Taylor Ellis

Performed by Jordan Aragon, Christina Benedetto, Shaun Dozier, Becky Sweren, and Rebecca Tucker

O, friends, lean in: the tempest has begun.

I’m sure I sound like a broken record telling you all how amazingly talented Lane and Sarah are and reminding you to listen to the various versions of their songs but seriously. You will be able to say “I was there when…”

Primarily, the purpose of the trip is to see Carousel, but we’re getting there early because my friend needs to do some research in their library. Which means I can also do some research in their library. What do I want to research in their library?

If The Tony Awards last night put you in the mood for some new musical comedy, check out Molly Parr’s interview with Bradley Seeman, one of the writers of Cupcake: A New Musical, now playing at Club Cafe Boston.

I’m seeing the show a week from Thursday. Can’t wait!
